• Book Ideation: What is a book? That sounds ridiculous, but what does it mean to write one? What story do you have to tell? And how should you begin to think about telling it?

    • How to Write a Proposal: A nonfiction book proposal is a very specific document, and I will walk you through how to write it. This document has to be formulated to get and retain eyeballs for funding your idea.

    • How to Get an Agent: How do you approach an agent? When should you approach an agent?

    • How to Pitch a Book: Pitching anyone on your idea can be overwhelming. How should you frame it?

    • How to Promote a Book: Independent book press is necessary. Publishing houses aren’t concerned you can write a book; they are concerned you can sell it.

Everyone and anyone can write a book. Trust me. I can’t promise you it’ll be the best, but I can promise you it’ll be better than most (there are a lot of bad books).

  • Meredith advises on book proposals with a light touch or a heavy pen.

The latter often includes a three-month engagement with a fully-executed proposal. The former is either a rough edit, a deep edit, or comments and summaries. She has written 13 successful proposals (which were purchased for publication). As a published author herself, she is keenly aware of the key attributes of a solid project proposal.

  • “I participated in the Brag Better Bootcamp and it was one of the best decisions I made this year for my professional life…After weeks 1 and 2 of the course when I did an inventory of my socials and wrote a new bio, I updated my LinkedIn with the new language learned from BBB, and a couple days later I got an inbound opportunity from a headhunter in my field…I feel indebted to the course because it helped me chip away at the imposter syndrome I've carried for a long time, and gave me the tools to be a more confident, polished, professional version of myself.” I will keep practicing the tools the course gave me now and into the future.”

  • “I wrote my self review asking for everything and bragging. That paid off today. I just did my performance review and got everything I wanted and deserved. I made the title jump a year before most people do and got the biggest raise I ever did.”
